Franklin
Firefighters Museum
Built
in 1985, the Franklin Firefighters Museum houses a 1929 REO 1 ½
ton "F" model fire engine known
as a "REO Speed Wagon", a fully restored 1853 Hunneman
hand tub pumper, and multiple hose carts from
the same era.
The museum also displays
a large array of photographs, antique fire and rescue equipment,
and
memorabilia of days gone by.
A
1941 Federal pumper is also owned by the museum association; however
this truck is currently housed off site.
